Welcome to Biz Talk with Peyton
Introduction:
Hello everyone! My name is Peyton, and welcome to my blog. Here, I will be posting my insights, thoughts, and reflections on current topics relating to academics, business, and my experiences in college. I will be discussing key takeaways from business/entrepreneurial classes I have taken and am currently taking. I also plan to touch on current world events and discuss global hot topics in the business setting relating to stocks, job outlooks, advancements in AI, and their effect on our lives and future careers, and more.About Me:
I am a Junior at North Dakota State University. I am pursuing a degree in Business Administration with a Minor in Entrepreneurship and a certificate in Professional Sales. I am a very energetic, determined person who has many passions, like playing piano, golf, hitting the gym, learning new languages, and recently, photography. I also take part in the arts by performing in the NDSU Concert Choir. I chose business administration as my major because I thought it would give me the broadest range of potential job opportunities after graduating. I have so many paths to choose from on where I want my life to go. For my senior year, I will be studying abroad in Japan to further increase my global perspective and personal marketability. After graduation, I plan on attending graduate school to become a college professor.
My Goal:
I am currently taking a Business Writing course that requires students to construct these blog posts as a way to test our skills as business professionals. Personally, I am looking forward to these blog posts and discussing topics with other students and visitors. My goal is to improve my writing skills with each post and be able to have insightful discussions about relevant topics. While I will work to keep my writing aligned with academic requirements, I want to experiment with striking a balance between personality and professionalism. I will work hard to evaluate sources and accurately summarize my discussions on the topics I choose. This blog could also be a preparation for future opportunities, becoming an addition to my portfolio of analysis and writing abilities.
Thanks for joining me, and I will see you next week!
